A frog endlessly cycles from tadpole to juvenile. The movement is often frantic as the creature struggles to keep up with time, but occasionally the frog slows down, perhaps accepting the inevitability of change.

This video uses manipulated photographs of Xenopus tropicalis, a frog used in laboratories around the world. The images are composited on the fly based on the frog's simulated energy level, which affects its speed and position.
